Wouldn't you like transparency on where your bottled water comes from and how much of it is captured and sold? Had it not been for the Governor's veto, AB 301 (Fuentes) would have required businesses licensed to bottle water or sell water for human use to annually report the total volume of water bottled or distributed, the source of the water, whether the source is privately or publicly owned, and the county of that source. This transparency would have helped both community members and decision-makers to more accurately understand the impacts of proposed and existing bottled-water facilities in California.
