The Department of Pesticide Regulation has found that enforcement by county agricultural commissioners for violations of pesticide use laws is very uneven from county to county. SB 455 (Escutia) would have required DPR to adopt regulations that mandate enforcement actions be taken for pesticide use violations that pose a threat to human health and for multiple violations.
