Would have restricted the use of plastic microbeads in personal care products. Plastic microbeads are flushed down drains and are becoming pervasive in our waterways and ocean, where they absorb toxins. Studies show that fish and other marine life consume the micro plastics and are contaminated by the accumulated toxins, which further accumulate up the food chain, posing a serious health threat to both people and wildlife.
