AB 669: Protecting water supplies from fracking

CLCV Supported
Failed on Assembly floor

Would have protected local water supplies throughout California by ensuring that wastewater produced during oil and gas production is disposed of properly and by requiring companies that are fracking for oil and gas to monitor groundwater quality both before and after any hydraulic fracturing. Would have also required disclosure of the origin and amount of freshwater used, as well as the destination and amount of wastewater produced during oil and gas production.
