Zero- and near-zero emission vehicles remain largely out-of-reach in disadvantaged communities, where they would help reduce air pollution. SB 1275 creates the Charge Ahead California Initiative, directing the Air Resources Board to develop a long-term funding plan to meet the goal of putting one million zero- and near-zero emission cars on California’s streets while ensuring that disadvantaged communities benefit from this transition.
