AB 845: Dumping on thy neighbor

CLCV Opposed
Signed into law by Gov. Brown (bad bill)

In an effort to protect a San Francisco trash company from paying the prevailing rate for the disposal of their trash in neighboring counties, AB 845 (Ma) was introduced on behalf of one business. The bill overrides the will of the people in Solano County to stop more out-of-county waste being dumped in their neighborhoods and will prohibit other local governments from limiting or restricting the importation of solid waste into their jurisdictions.
