From the local gas station to Iraq, the impact of our dependence on petroleum is evident. Just as California has been an international leader in reducing air pollution, SB 757 (Kehoe) would have established state policy that state agencies should take every cost-effective and technologically feasible action to reduce the state’s dependence on petroleum, increase vehicle efficiency, and the use of alternative fuels.
